Humour

Again and again and again and again

I apologise now, but it shows off the Mac OS, pity about Word 2004.

You want adverts

At least Microsoft think you do, everywhere, even on that Zune you bought.

Seems like Steve Ballmer
deserved the egging, pity the guy had such a bad aim.

Greed isn't good

Classic!

So you want to clean your keyboard?

Here's how.

A Big Ass Table

Although, I kinda like the idea of ordering at my table and not having to wait for a waiter to turn up, or notice that we asked for the bill half an hour ago.

Choose a Vista

I know, I know, I ought not to poke fun, but this really does some up buying Vista, the wheel really would simply it.

There's another two new US ads:
The Party is Over and Genius. In the UK Mitchell & Webb are in Office Posse. I'm not such a fan of this one, yes Macs run Office, but I'd like real alternatives.

Southpark PC & Mac

I like how the Mac ends with the spinning wheel of doooom!

How sexy were they?

Posing tech icons when they had more hair; who was the more sexy? I think these photos show the difference in character:

bill

Bill & Steve, gettin' it on.

Incase you missed it, here it is again. Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse take on Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.

Nerd Alert: Harry's Steve might look more like that ejit Steve Ballmer, but it's amusing. I still find it strange, that only a few years ago If I mentioned Steve Jobs, the reply would be 'huh, who?' and now you can do jokes with him in on telly.

Yes it may not be very accurate, and Bill was the Nerd and Steve more a visionary, leaving the nerdy stuff to Woz. There's also a great real photo of Bill and Steve having dinner together.

That's Numberwang!

I was very surprised to see that Mitchell and Webb are doing the UK version of the Get a Mac adverts! Mitchell and Webb, if you don't know, are a comedy duo famous for Peep Show on Channel 4, and the BBC's that Mitchell and Webb look, which we recently saw on their live tour. They've also done solo projects, like The Smoking Room and this year sees the release of their first film: The Magicians.

There are
six adverts at the moment: Office at Home, Restarting, Virus, Trust Mac, Tentacle and Pie Chart. Tentacle is probably the best out of the six. No doubt, like all the Get a Mac ads the PC guy is the one that you'll no doubt like the best. You might enjoy the Japanese versions too.

You have to give it to
Apple, not only did they not just run the US versions here, but managed to make a great choice with Mitchell & Webb to play the Mac and PC. It's like they bowled a wide in the UEFA cricket championship and won!

MyPhone

Well, I've got my iPhone! You can get yours too!

Video madness

Here's a funny video by the New York Times' David Pogue. It's a review of Microsoft's Vista in comparison to Mac OS X and demonstrates how Vista is not a rip-off of Mac OS X.

Some daft Mac fans (fantatics) sent him hate mail after watching it, so just incase you miss the humour, he is taking the piss out of Vista.

Get a Mac

You've probably got one already, but Apple have just made some new adverts. Called Get A Mac.

I really like the new adverts, they're cute and funny and it's nice to see Apple putting over the reasons that Macs are better for a change. (better than the switch campaign, not that I think it ever aired in the UK hmm could be wrong) and thankfully not another iPod advert.

The iLife one makes me chuckle. Just when he says: "Calculator, clock"
